Sometimes it is just easier to read a sample birthday toast before writing your own. So, we’ve decided to write a couple for you to view to give you an idea of how they can sound.
course you can follow the rules laid out on the previous page, or you
can make your toast a complete original. However you do it, we just hope
that you will find these examples helpful to send your birthday wishes.
Hello everyone, my name is John Doe and I have known Dan for 18 of his 24 years. Now we all know that turning 24 years old isn’t a milestone, but it definitely deserved such a great party as this! Knowing someone so many years, through childhood and teenage years and into adulthood is cause for a funny or embarrassing story, right? But I have none to share as us bro’s stick together! All I can say is Dan is a great guy and he always has been! I wish him all the best in this next year of his life and next year on his 25th birthday, we will party like no one’s partied before! So lets raise a glass to our good friend Dan, may you enjoy every moment of this birthday! Cheers!
My name is Jane Doe I would like to make a toast to my best friend in the whole wide world! Jenny and I have known each other for 10 years now. We met at a time in both our lives when we both needed a friend. And I am so lucky to have her in my life. And here is a quote that reminds me of our friendship: “Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.” (Anon) And you Jenny, being the person that you are have left footprints in my heart! So with that said, to Jenny, may this year be everything you hope it will be! Cheers!
As you can see if the second speech, we have
inserted a quote. Quotes can be a great way to elaborate on what you are
saying to the guest of honor. You may also find a poem that can do the
same. Writing your own poem about the person may be even better!
After reading these toasts, if you are still having issues writing your own, we don’t mind if you take one of our toasts and make the necessary changes to make it your own.
